InfraSolution® Rack Access Control System from Austin Hughes

InfraSolution®, Austin Hughes' Rack Access Control System, offers integrated rack access control and monitoring, for the server room or data centre environments. Protecting data and assets within the data centre is becoming ever more critical; InfraSolution provides secure rack access control and makes it possible to control access to the server racks by means of SmartCard, or via remote IP releasing of locking handles. Employee access rights can be configured by the system Administrator to allow access to specific racks, even to specific time windows if desired. The centralised remote management software uses a simple graphic user interface (GUI). Administrators can allocate manager profiles, visitor access and operating times. It also allows a graphic design to be made of the data centre floor, with each rack represented by an icon. These icons change appearance as different events occur, making it easy to monitor what is happening at each rack. The software logs many events; this information can be used to produce reports. When issues arise, such as unauthorised access or environmental conditions, alerts can be sent via E-mail or SNMP. The system supports up to 800 racks with up to 8 users. To be able to control rack access, on top of the required software, each rack needs the installation of an InfraBox and two SmartCard HV-800 locking handles (front and rear cabinet doors).

	InfraBox 820 Rack Access Controller Centralised monitoring of the front and rear HV-800 handle access control, and door status. Simplified management for remote door programming and opening. Real-time temperature LED display of the HV-800 handles. Access control event reporting within the management software. Standalone mode can store up to 999 events.
	InfraBox 840 Rack Access Controller Same features as the InfraBox 820 plus: Eight expansion ports for remote controlling multiple Switched PDUs, Monitored PDUs and / or fan units. Two external Temperature / Humidity sensors up to 6 feet away.
	HV-800 Rack Access Control Handle Intelligent, patented, design. Universal mounting fit, for use with most popular brand racks. Dual locking system (electronic and mechanical lock), provides two levels of security. Electronic lock can be released by authorised SmartCard or via remote management software. SmartCard access compatible to mainstream security systems using MiFARE and Proximity (compatible with HID) card technology. Built-in digital temperature sensor. Built-in reflective optical sensor for monitoring door status. Status LED for power on, SmartCard detection, authorised and unauthorised lock releasing. Motorised lock uses less power than traditional solenoid mechanism.
	SmartCard Utilises the highly secure MiFARE technology, enabling users to carry a single card for multiple applications. With anti-cloning & collision design, each SmartCard has a unique card serial number to ensure uniqueness. 13.56 Mhz carrier frequency provides fast transaction time for each access. Customised layout available. Proximity card access compatible with HID mainstream security system.
