AUTOMATICALLY CAPTURES ITEMS

The RFID SmartCharge System automatically captures supply items used with no extra effort by personnel by simply dropping the used packaging into the SmartCharge RFID Bin. When supply items are labeled with an RFID tag, the label remains on the supply packaging after the item is used. When the packaging is disposed of in the patented SmartCharge receptacle, it is automatically “read” and the supply item part number is captured and is used to reduce inventory, capture the supply item and charge it to the appropriate procedure.

THE SMARTCHARGE RECEPTACLE

The SmartCharge Receptacle reads only the RFID tags dropped into the bin, even when the foot controlled lid is open. This is important because a nurse may have items chargeable to another procedure or just unused in their hands which should not be read when the lid opens.

THE SMARTCHARGE SOFTWARE

The SmartCharge Software controls the entire system by reading the RFID tags and capturing the information and sending the list of used supplies to the universal inventory used file. This is used to update the Inventory Management system and also the charge system to correctly allocate the cost of supplies used.

THE SMARTCHARGE RFID SYSTEM

The SmartCharge RFID system consists of the Patent Pending RFID Disposal Bin, a RFID Label Printer, Label Printing Software and RFID Interface software.
