Rittal Top Therm Plus server racks are IP55 rated enclosures that protect the enclosed hardware from dust and water, this is achieved by a complete gasket sealing around the doors and side panels.

Cooling units are attached to the roof or side of the enclosure and keep the internal temperature of the enclosure at a constant level, even to below room temperature. Air routing within the rack can be tailored to individual requirements.

Two separate circuits prevent the ingress of dust into the enclosure, whilst the AC unit is CFC free and comes supplied with a comfort controller to regulate the internal temperature. An electronic condensate evaporation system ensures that any condensate incurred is effectively evaporated, and doesn’t need to be collected or dissipated. Cooling units can be used in tandem via a BUS cable giving even temperature distribution across all sections of the enclosure with simultaneous activation and deactivation of the devices.

Optimum Flow Conditions The internal air circulation is targeted and effective: The heated air is extracted centrally Air exhaust occurs in the four corners, depending on requirements Cold air is routed, in a controlled manner, into the lower enclosure chamber via the optional ducting system The result is highly effective cooling and the avoidance of air short-circuits. The targeted air circulation inside the enclosure, via ducts, also prevents the creation of hot spots.
