The Fujikura 70S Plus single fibre fusion splicer is the latest addition to Fujikura’s range of fusion splicers. The 70S Plus builds on the successful Fujikura 70S with additional features of Bluetooth® communication, easier usability and improved splicing performance.

A robust, core alignment fusion splicer, with Bluetooth® communication to provide consistent, low loss, splice performance.

The Fujikura 70S+ single fibre fusion splicer has a robust, rugged construction that is designed to improve reliability by resisting shock, rain and dust enabling it to withstand a 762mm (30”) drop test.

The Fujikura 70S+ takes the features of the previous Fujikura 70S of streamlining the steps required to complete splices, resulting in greater productivity and improves them even more. ‘Configurable automation’ features allow the user to customise the operation of the machine to best suit their particular splicing technique and process. The Fujikura 70S+ features improvements to tube heater and automated wind protector to enhance the splicing process, enabling the Fujikura 70S+ to deliver splicing times of 6 seconds and tube heating in 9 seconds.

The programmable ‘automatic wind protector’ closes and begins the splicing process after clamping the fibres in position or pressing the ‘set’ button. Once the splice is completed, not only is the wind protector opened, but one of the sheath clamps, the user selects which, is automatically raised making removal of the fibres fast and easy!

The 70S+ fusion splicer now not only has a high-resolution LCD monitor, powerful Li-ion battery for longer operation times and built-in videos for on-the-go training, but now benefits from Bluetooth® wireless communication for communicating heating data with Smartphones and other Fujikura splicing equipment such as the RS02 / RS03 ribbon fibre strippers.
