The T5 Pro is a compact biometric access control reader that combines a traditional RFID card reader and a fingerprint reader in a single compact unit.
This compact design makes it suitable for installation on rack door frames. Utilising standard Wiegand output it connects seamlessly with access controllers, such as the iAccess rack access controller or the Wiegand translator in the TZ Centurion access control system, to provide both RFID or Biometric access control of electronic locks. It can provide an easy-to-implement upgrade path for existing card readers, so providing the higher level of security that biometric access control delivers.
The T5 Pro, as well as being compact, is fully sealed with a waterproof and dustproof fingerprint sensor that uses a BioNano core fingerprint algorithm and can read both wet and dry fingers.
The unit also removes any compliance issues by storing up to 5000 fingerprints on the unit. Identification methods can be fingerprint, card or fingerprint and card.
