iSensor Monitoring Solution
A data centre temperature monitor and humidity monitoring solution
iSensor is a cost-effective, out-of-the-box data centre temperature monitor and humidity monitoring solution which provides a proactive solution for monitoring the environment in data centres and server rooms.
The dual-powered iSensor Controller unit features 24 iSensorPlus sensor ports into which installs a combined temperature monitor and humidity monitor. These 24 temperature and humidity sensors are included and connect to the controller unit via standard CAT5/6 network Ethernet cabling. This enables each of the sensors to be a maximum distance of 100m away from the iSensor controller box. Optional environmental sensors are also available to monitor particles and dry contacts.
The iSensor controller is connected to your network and the on-board webserver accessed via web browser, it can also be monitored through SNMP registers. Like the iAccess cabinet door security system, both are stand-alone systems that utilise the same webserver software so provide a familiar solution. Centralised management of both iAccess and iSensor is possible through any SNMP enabled remote management platform be it a NMS, BMS or DCIM system such as Sensorium. In the individual rack view within Sensorium it’s possible to access data from both systems along with any other SNMP enabled equipment within the rack such as PDUs.
Each iSensorPlus sensor can be individually configured to the environment they are monitoring with high and low thresholds set for both temperature and humidity. Alerts can then be sent via SNMP traps with e-mail event notification possible when thresholds are breached or contact status changes.
Dust monitor and other environmental sensors
As well as providing temperature and humidity environmental sensors, iSensor also offers an optional dust monitor sensor. Using the particle dust sensor, iSensor can then also monitor the data centre or server room environment for dust particles. iSensor can also monitor dry contacts via the optional Volt Free Contact sensors for monitoring and alerting on status changes.
