The FOCIS Flex from AFL is part of a range of test and inspect solutions designed to help maintain the high-performance of fibre optic networks.
The AFL FOCIS Flex fibre optic connector inspection system utilises auto-focus and auto-centring for fast and easy inspection. With the press of a single button the FOCIS Flex auto-focuses, captures and centres the end-face image, applies pass/fail rules, displays an image and the pass/fail results and wirelessly transfers image and results to a paired FlexScan or FlexTester OTDR all in a matter of seconds.
Thanks to its rechargeable battery and built-in display, the FOCIS Flex can be used independently without the requirement of an external OTDR or display unit. However, thanks to integrated Bluetooth the FOCIS Flex can be paired to an Android or iOS device using AFL’s FOCIS Flex mobile App, that then enables images to be saved to AFL’s aeRos cloud-based workflow management system.
Results can be stored on the FOCIS Flex’s internal memory or can be transferred by a micro-USB port to a PC.
A wide range of interchangeable adapter tips support connector inspection of a wide range of both single fibre and multi-fibre patch cords or bulkhead-mounted connectors with either PC or APC polished end-faces including popular LC, SC and MTP connections.
