RackANGEL Lite is a cost-effective single door rack solution for providing secured, controlled access to IT cabinets with a single handle in remote locations, for example wall boxes or network cabinets.

With greater emphasise on rack security and data security, controlling who has access to your IT cabinets plays a vital part in meeting today’s regulatory and compliance mandates at national or company level. EDP Europe is a leading supplier of rack access control systems including iAccess for individual rack access control and for integrating into Business Management Systems or information management platforms such as DCIM. Along with the modular TZ Centurion system that can control access to multiple racks from a single bridge unit.

Now EDP Europe introduces a cost-effective solution for managing and controlling the access and security of single-handle cabinets such as wall boxes or network cabinets. Such access points are often found in remote locations where there can be less security, but still provides a point of failure to the overall security of your network infrastructure.

RackANGEL Lite provides a simple yet effective single door rack security solution that can be used to control the vast majority of intelligent cabinet door handles on the market. Alternatively, EDP Europe can also supply these.

The RackANGEL Lite controller is a compact unit that can be mounted within the cabinet via the supplied end brackets. Its on-board webserver provides easy access via any standard web browser. The door handles can be remotely unlocked through the web browser interface or via proximity card via a card reader on the cabinet. Access details are recorded so that you can see who last accessed the cabinet.

There are two versions of the RackANGEL Lite controller; the standard unit which as well as providing rack security also provides environmental monitoring for a single temperature / humidity sensor along with a further eight temperature sensors. The second version also offers in-line power monitoring; the unit is simply plugged in between the electricity supply and the ‘dumb’ basic PDU providing the power to the equipment in the cabinet. This in-line option provides power monitoring for: Volts, Amps, Watts, Power Factor, kWh, Frequency, VA, Peak Volts, Peak Amps and internal temperature.

RackANGEL Lite is available with a 13A UK plug as standard or optional with 16A, 32A or 63A commando plugs suitable for use with single or 3-phase systems.
