The TZ SlideHandle™ electronic door lock for racks is an intelligent locking device that can be retro-fitted to legacy Data Centre IT racks to provide a means of secure, access control. The TZ SlideHandle™ uses a high load Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) actuated locking mechanism and can be used with the TZ Centurion™ or TZ Praetorian™ rack access control systems.

TZ SlideHandle™ – Electronic Door Lock For Racks

The TZ SlideHandle™ provides an electronic door lock for racks that can be retro fitted to most IT racks which use the industry standard 25mm wide handle openings, including racks from APC, CPI, Dell, Rittal, IBM, HP, Panduit and more.

The TZ SlideHandle™ uses a high load Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) actuated locking mechanism and can be used with the TZ Centurion™ or TZ Praetorian™ rack access control systems. The TZ SlideHandle™ has a touch to release option, multi-colour LED door status indicator, manual key override and an RJ45 connector. The TZ SlideHandle™ is powered and controlled via standard UTP cabling through the TZ Centurion™ Bridge or TZ Praetorian™ Junction.

The TZ SlideHandle™ has a surface mount design that retro fits to most rack brands that use the 25mm wide handle openings, and is compatible with single-point and multi-point latching as well as split French doors. The lock integrates a manual key override which can be used to unlock the door in the event of power failure. Integrated electronics and sensors report on the true door status, including manual override mode or forced entry and provides a complete audit trail of rack entry. The coloured LED provides a visual door status indication: Red for locked, Amber to show the rack is ready to be unlocked and Green when the rack is unlocked.
