HUBER+SUHNER OptiRibbon Fibre Cable enables a quicker way to install fibres as splicing can be preformed in a fraction of the time that it takes to splice single fibres.
The process of splicing fibre cables is a time consuming process, the introduction of HUBER+SUHNER OptiRibbon Fibre Cables enables faster mass fusion splicing, reducing downtime and maintenance in Data Centres. OptiRibbon can also be spliced using single fusion splicing as well.
Utilising Mass Fusion splicing times can be greatly reduced. The process of stripping, cleaning, cleaving, fusion, protection and coiling a 24 fibre cable using single splicing by an experienced technician takes approximately 45 minutes. The same process using mass splicing reduces this time to approximately 15 minutes.
The cable construction a fibre is compatible with the LiSA and IANOS fibre management system.
HUBER+SUHNER 24-2x12E9A2R/(ZN)HH-E30#B is a OptiRibbon Double Jacket fibre cable with 24 fibres. It has an inner jacket diameter of 3mm and an outer jacket diameter of 4.9mm. With 2 x 12 x 9/125µm G.657.A2 fibre it is LSFH and has a CPR rating of B2ca-s1a,do,a1. The cable jacket colour is yellow.
The round cable shape contains ribbon fibres that are periodically bonded forming a mesh style, and works as a standard ribbon.
OptiRibbon cables can be used in the Data Centre white space for inter-connect scenarios between equipment and switches or for cross-connects from the Optical Distribution Frame to the tenant’s edge equipment.
