More About This Product
The HUBER+SUHNER Base-24 MTP-LC Duplex Transition Harness is made-to-measure so that the harnesses are designed to perfectly match the application they are to be used for, and are suitable for Singlemode OS2 or Multimode OM4 networks.
Optipack Base-24 MTP-LC Duplex Transition Harness
Transition between Base-24 MTP backbone and LC Duplex connectors
HUBER+SUHNER Optipack Base-24 MTP-LC Duplex Transition Harness fibre cables provide a transition from MTP backbone connectivity to the LC Duplex connectivity found on switches and servers. Rather than using LC patch panels and patch cords, the Base-24 MTP-LC Duplex Transition Harness provides a fast and compact alternative that plugs directly from the backbone into equipment transceivers.
With more data centres adopting MTP Multimode backbone infrastructure because of its flexibility and future-proofed way of adapting from one type of connector to another, the Base-24 MTP-LC Duplex Transition Harness provides a way to support existing LC connectivity using 1G and 10G Ethernet application knowing that this can be changed in the future to MTP connectors to deliver higher data rates over parallel fibre paths.
The most common application for an MTP-LC transition harness is connecting high-density SAN switches with hundreds of transceiver ports placed in close proximity. MTP patching can be placed close to the switch using the HUBER+SUHNER IANOS system and the MTP-LC harnesses used to make the final connection to transceivers. The harnesses use the HUBER+SUHNER LC-XD connector that offers clearer identification thanks to clips behind the boot and an extended clip handle for easier handling.
Made-to-measure to suit the application they are to be used for, HUBER+SUHNER Optipack transition harnesses offer various fan-out options with staggered lengths so that users can match their harness to the blade orientation and port allocations of the switch. With some blades being vertical while others are horizontal, this change in orientation can impact the numbering of ports and result in a mismatch between the harness tail length and port position. Also, the side of the cabinet that the cables are fed from also has an impact. By offering different fan-out options HUBER+SUHNER combats these issues.
