The IANOS Lite Chassis from HUBER+SUHNER is part of the IANOS Fibre Optic Management system. IANOS is a class leading and future proofed fibre optic management system that facilitates BASE-2, 8, 12 and 24 pre-terminated cable systems for best in class density, speed of installation, handling and scalability – all major factors in future proofing cabling infrastructure.
IANOS offers a unique fibre management system that is designed to accommodate a quick, simple and inevitable upgrade path from 10 Gigabit Ethernet serial to 40 and 100 Gigabit Ethernet parallel optics. Individual modules, available in single or twin varieties to improve flexibility and handling, can be easily slid out, reducing cord disruption and easing access. Previously, the IANOS chassis has only been available in a 1U or 4U high-density format, but the IANOS Lite chassis now brings this level of fibre optic management to medium-density applications.
The 1U IANOS Lite chassis comes in a standard and skeleton design, and is used in medium-density applications to provide connections to servers or switches that are in the same or adjacent racks. With its fixed trays and optional cable management the IANOS Lite Chassis supports up to 96 fibres (48 ports) per 1U of rack space.
