The EDP 42U Server Cabinet is a high quality 42U server rack that is ideal for use in Data Centres or Enterprise IT environments. Its rigid welded frame makes this cabinet very strong and able to cope with the high weight loads found within the data centre arena. Like other racks in the EDP Network & Server Cabinets range the ability to customise the specifications and tailor it to meet your requirements exists.
EDP Europe’s 42U server cabinet comes as a 42U x 600 x 1000mm server rack, but as with other racks within EDP Europe’s Network & Server Cabinets range can be tailored to meet your requirements.
The cabinet comes fully assembled with a rigid welded construction, that enables a high load rating to 1200Kg. The 42U Server Cabinet comes with an 83% open area front mesh door and rear mesh wardrobe doors, again with an 83% open area, that are supplied with locking swing-handle locks. For extra security these can be replaced and integrated with a Rack Access Control System that controls who can access the rack, and record both authorised and unauthorised entries. The removable side panels are also fitted with key locks for added security. All panels and doors are fully earthed with a 10-way 80Amp earth bar fitted in the bottom of the rear of the cabinet.
The 42U server cabinet is fitted with fully adjustable numbered 19” mounting profiles fitted front and rear, that makes identifying RU space easier to do. Cable entry into the server cabinet can be achieved by the brushed cable entry opening in the lid of the cabinet or via the large aperture in the base of the rack. Utilising one of EDP Europe’s brushed replacement floor tiles makes the task of running cables from the floor plenum easier by removing the need to cut entries into floor tiles.
EDP Europe’s 42U server cabinet conforms to the following standards: IEC 297-2, DIN 41494-7, DIN 41491-1 and BS 5850/3192. As standard the cabinet is finished in fine textured Black powder coat but other colours are available on request.
