IANOS Pre-terminated Modules take the modularity of the IANOS fibre management system to the next level. Each pre-terminated module comes supplied attached directly to a length of the appropriate fibre cable. The other end can have another module attached, a harness assembly or left as loose tube for fusion splicing.

HUBER+SUHNER IANOS Pre-terminated Modules are pre-connected to a length of required fibre cable and can be supplied with a module both ends, with a harness assembly or left was loose tube for fusion splicing to pigtails, with cable lengths available from 1 to 99 metres.

Pre-terminated modules reduce the installation time considerably compared to spliced pigtails, they also help data centre operators to achieve near-perfect length management of cables between racks. In a typical installation the pre-terminated module will be installed in the IANOS management system directly in the server rack, with the other end of the cable being spliced directly to a high-density cross-connect rack or optical distribution frame (ODF). In doing so it reduces the optical loss across a link and also eliminates much of the cable slack management required within the installation.

Thanks to an innovative 2-part reel system IANOS Pre-terminated modules are fast to deploy straight from the reel. The module is protected within the reel and removed after the cable has been installed. A central hole in the reel enable it to be mounted on poles or axles making cable installation fast and easy to deploy. And as IANOS modules can be installed into the IANOS chassis from the rear of the cabinet the module is easy to install also.
