AisleLok® Under Rack Panel Prevents Bypass Airflow Under Raised Racks
The AisleLok® Under Rack Panel is designed to seal a variety of openings below the rack on new and existing raised server racks, the AisleLok® Under Rack Panel will block bypass airflow and maximise the Data Centre cooling system’s efficiency.
The sealing technology of the AisleLok® Under Rack Panel is designed to allow easy modifications creating the flexibility to seal large and unique openings. Based on measurements from multiple data centres, on average 60% of valuable conditioned air is not reaching the air intake of IT equipment due to unsealed floor openings (these openings should be sealed with raised floor grommets). This lost air is known as bypass airflow and contributes to IT equipment hot spots, cooling unit inefficiencies, and increasing infrastructure costs. AisleLok® Under Rack Panels help address this bypass airflow and its detrimental effects on Data Centre cooling.
AisleLok® Under Rack Panels are available for fitting to either 600mm or 800mm wide racks. The pre-scored lines on the back of the AisleLok under rack panel allows for easy and tool-less removal of excess material for areas where the opening under the rack is smaller.
A magnetic version is also available.

- Two designs which feature longer, durable sealing panels (699mm and 801mm) which are customisable to seal a variety of gaps under the server rack.
- Rigid PVC support frame, with a double sided adhesive, provides a permanent and non-particulating attachment to the rack. The softer, flexible sealing material easily forms under the rack and can be customised as needed.
- Tool-less application — simply “peel and stick”.
- Under Rack Panel seals more effectively than a comparable brush without sagging.
- AisleLok products are compliant with directive 2002/95/EC of the European Parliament and the Council on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electric Equipment (RoHS)).
