The KoldLok Mini Split Integral raised floor grommet seals small, 4″ x 6″ (100mm x 150mm) cable openings in new or existing raised floor environments. Designed with virtually all of the original KoldLok engineering, the KoldLok Mini Split Integral floor grommet is positioned at a lower price point.
Unlike the larger KoldLok Integral grommet, the KoldLok Mini only has a single layer of brushes. However, these are angled rather than flat. This design provides a highly effective seal against installed cables.
Based on measurements at multiple Data Centres, between 50% – 80% of conditioned air is not reaching the air intake of IT equipment due to unsealed floor openings – some as small as 4″ x 6″ (100mm x 150mm). This lost air, known as bypass airflow, contributes to IT equipment hot spots, cooling unit inefficiencies, and increasing infrastructure costs.
KoldLok raised floor grommets are designed to reduce bypass airflow and improve Data Centre cooling.
