EDP Europe’s replacement Data Centre Floor Tile with 3 cable openings is part of the range of replacement brush floor tiles produced by EDP Europe, a heavy duty tiles with single or dual openings are also available. When 19” racks are installed in a raised floor environment it is often a requirement to cut cable openings within the floor tiles through which to pass the cables; these openings should then be sealed with a brush floor grommet. An alternative solution is to replace the solid tile with a purpose-built floor tile with cable entries already in place. This not only saves time but reduces labour costs.

EDP Europe’s Data Centre floor tile with 3 cable openings is a heavy-duty, reinforced steel constructed floor tile that has 3 square cable openings. This makes it ideal for use in areas where racks are moved around. Each opening is fitted with two pieces of brush that meet in the middle to provide an effective seal around installed cables. When cables are not installed the openings can be covered with a supplied safety plate for each opening to ensure nothing can drop through the opening into the plenum; it also removes any trip hazard risk.

The tile itself measures 600mm x 600mm and is 40.4mm high, although this can be adapted to suit all raised floor systems. Each cable opening measures 130mm x 130mm, and with three openings it provides excellent cable management and cable segregation. As standard the floor tile is finished in Grey powder coat, but other colours are available upon request.
