More About This Product

HUBER+SUHNER Optipack Base-8 MTP-MTP fibre trunk cables are high-density multi-stranded cables that form the backbone of the Data Centre’s fibre network. Available in various lengths and fan-outs, and to suit either Singlemode or Multimode fibre networks.

Base-8 MTP-MTP Fibre Trunk Cables

OS2 & OM4 Base-8 MTP-MTP Fibre Trunk Cables

Optipack Base-8 MTP-MTP fibre trunk cables, from HUBER+SUHNER, are high-density multi-stranded cables that form the backbone of the fibre network in data centres and enterprise IT rooms. They allow users to build 10G links today, which can be easily upgraded to 40G links tomorrow using 8 fibre MTP connectivity.

When combined with the HUBER+SUHNER IANOS system and the IANOS modules this upgrade process becomes even more simple enabling an easier and faster way to upgrade fibre networks to higher data rates.

HUBER+SUHNER trunk cables are constructed from miniature 2mm fibre strands that are then over-sleeved by a secondary jacket. The design offers strength and robustness but flexibility to be bend optimised and space saving by reducing cable diameter by up to 33%.

Available for Singlemode OS2 and Multimode OM4 networks the fibre trunk cables are available in lengths from 10m to 50m in 5m increments as well as being available in customer specific cable and fan-out lengths. All Base-8 trunk cables are CPR compliant to B2ca standard.

Base-12 and Base-24 MTP-MTP fibre trunk cables are also available.
